Animals

I discovered I keep surrounding myself with animals in my house (real and fake ones). The cuter the better!
And today I received this little cat brooch I bought on etsy and I love it!




Now I'm keeping my eyes open for a cute bird figurine to add to the collection. These ones I think are very pretty:

My girl

I always liked portraits of girls. Why I don't know but there is something aesthetically pleasing about them (at least, to me there is). I really should start collecting them!
In order of appearance: Girl in pink from anonymousworks blog, I always have time and noami from tushtush on etsy, mini portrait from Heidi Burton on etsy, flower girl from Katep on etsy, Frida Kahlo’s sister and Frida Kahlo herself, and the Chinese girl by Vladimir Trechikoff.

Back in business

It took me a while but I finally found the time to list a few new items to the ship! Hurray!

Radio Modern

I can't believe I still haven't had the chance to go to a radio modern party. They trow this great retro danceparty's with music from the forties and fifties. And the best part is everybody gets to dress up in the style of those era's, they even got a own stylingteam! And you don't have to worry if you can't dance because before the party starts (at 9 a.m., just like in the old days) they give dance lessons. I really love the concept!

I feel a sudden craving for this kinda coats with big fur collars (preferably fake fur)! I want one in baby blue or red.

little pleasures

When I have to study for my finals, I find joy in little things, like feeding the hungry birds in the garden (and watching them eat!) and drinking coffee. A lot of coffee.

By the way, how wonderful is this bird mansion?

I'm so glad etsy seller cupcake social started shipping to europe! But I'll have to restrain myself from buying everything it the shop.

Nothing a little loving won't cure

Yesterday I found this midcentury cabinet in the thriftstore. As you can see there a lot of signs of wear and tear on it, but nothing a little paint, loving and pretty paper in its drawers won't cure! I just couldn't resist taking it with me (plus it was too cheap to be true). First I was thinking about painting it in a pretty colour (mint green or yellow or light blue or pink or...) but now I wonder whether or not painting it is going to take away the authenticy... I dunno. What do you think?
Meanwhile I will have to put this project on my new to do list (from notebooksetc), until my exams are over.
